Presidential Palace (Palacio Presidencial) in La Paz, Bolivia - Palacio Quemado (Burnt Palace)

Located on the south side of Plaza Murillo is the Presidential Palace (Palacio Presidencial) in La Paz, Bolivia.

Completed in 1852, it is known locally as the Palacio Quemado (Burnt Palace) from the fact that it was set aflame and burned a few times during a rebellion in the 1870s. It has since been rebuilt and revamped a number of times.

The Presidential Palace is the official residence of the Bolivian President. It is also the building from which the president of Bolivia and his aides conducts its business.

Today, these uniforms send the message that Chile must return that land to Bolivia.
